We had an email enquiry from a gentleman on the Ebay on the Orkney Isles. We were all getting excited to deliver the bike there as John's sister had work in the Orkney as a physiotherapist many moons ago and John was going on about how beautiful it is. Being from Oz I thought how exotic!
Unfortunately the logistics didn't quite work out with the girls in and out of school and bubble closers but we managed to arrange a courier company to pick up the bike from us in London and transferred it to Aberdeen where another shipping company transferred it on a boat to Orkney.
Here is the Handsome fella, Haydn!
And this is the Domino, a maxi scooter equivalent to a 125cc petrol bike.
Range per charge is 125miles
Top speed is 75mph
peak power is 17kw
Motor power is 9kw
80v80AH CATL battery
After our initial contact with Haydn I looked into Orkney and learned that they are the most sustainable community in the UK! Decades ahead of the rest of the UK with their secure, sustainable and low carbon economy powered by wind and tide. The energy revolution truly starts here!
This is beautiful Eday, Orkney Isle. Haydn actually runs a B&B on beautiful on Eday if anyone is looking for a bit of peace and stunning surrounding, https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/44366582?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=3fc27468-c4e1-4d3e-9bc3-6b4fb4127ad1
